“I recently listened to my debut Neanderthal release “Start A Fire With Rock” (2006) for the first time in a long time & decided to cherry pick 6 of my favorite tunes (that the current live lineup has yet to do) to re-work as this new EP. The original "SFWR" was recorded between 2003 & 2006 on a Fostex digital 8 track, all direct, with an Alesis SR16 drum machine. Total headphone apartment production. While I feel that the material is inspired, high energy, strong and memorable... the recording quality / drum machine "feel" leaves a lot to be desired. These new “Magick Room” 2021 ProTools versions with live drums & real amps, turned out killer imho. I had a blast working on this little “redo”. Hope y’all enjoy.” =MM=
